How did this pass the censors? Never mind, its my favourite moment in the series thus far, but god it was dark. Still can't get over the fact that even when Pearl was probably going through excruciating pain, the first thing she does is try to tell Steven that everything will be fine. If she isn't a mom to Steven, then no one is.

Speaking of which... that means at this point, Steven has a) never met his real mother because she passed away during his birth and b) just watched the closest thing he has to a mother figure get stabbed to death right in front of him. Don't know how the poor kid isn't completely traumatized.
